For over 20 years, my passion has been focused on assisting others in the health and wellness industry. I’m a chef, nutrition coach, personal trainer, and bodybuilder. But on Jan 25,2019 life was severely altered and put to the test. I suffered an ischemic stroke, leaving my entire left side paralyzed. Tapping into a childhood teaching from my late-father “mind over matter”, I kept my mind strong, along with my will and drive to press on and overcome my biggest life obstacle. Within three weeks, I was back on my feet, facing my rehabilitation process with a positive can-do attitude. I spent most of 2019 rehabbing myself back to top health, but before the year’s end, I began offering services to help other stroke survivors regain their independence. By May of 2020, I was able to launch a virtual post-brain injury fitness/rehab program and my life’s work, Stroking in My Stilettos was born.
